Are there side effects when using MONISTAT*?
Talk to your doctor if you have fever, pain in the back or lower abdomen, or foul-smelling vaginal discharge before or during the use of MONISTAT*. You may have a more serious condition. You should also consult with a doctor or pharmacist before using MONISTAT* if you are taking an oral blood thinning medication.

A mild increase in vaginal burning, itching or irritation may occur when MONISTAT* is inserted. Abdominal cramping and edema have also been reported. Stop using MONISTAT* and consult your doctor if abdominal pain, hives, skin rash, or new irritation occurs.
