What exactly is a vaginal yeast infection?
A vaginal yeast infection is a condition caused most commonly by an overgrowth of yeast called Candida. Candida is always present in/on your body. When an imbalance occurs, perhaps due to a change in the pH balance of the vagina or a change in your hormonal balance, Candida can multiply excessively and you may experience symptoms known as a yeast infection.
